The PEACE RESEARCH FOUNDATION is a nonprofit 501 (C)(3) educational organization dedicated to increasing and disseminating the body of knowledge regarding peace through research and education. By researching peace efforts and peacemakers throughout the world, it will develop a reservoir of information for the establishment of a resource center for peace and conflict resolution, the Peace Research Foundation Center and Library. This gathered and indexed information will also be readily available to all on the Internet.

"I think that having been born in peaceful Switzerland, but into a family that went through the Armenian Genocide, has made me reflect upon the issue of peace and war. I came to realize that I was carrying the emotional memory of the atrocity of war."

Robert R. Tyler
Founder
President 1995-1999
Advisory Board Chairman 1999
Director of Annual Global Peace Survey 1999

"I began thinking seriously about peace efforts while watching the Gulf War live on CNN. I thought about how many great minds and the amount of dollars and technology it took to conduct war in this way. The Peace Research Foundation's fundamental objective is the development and expansion of the body of knowledge regarding peace. Our initial major project is to establish a global survey of peace resources and to make the resulting information accessible to all through the Internet."

The Peace Research Foundation will solicit and distribute funds for the planning and management of conferences on peace research and studies. It will create and operate a Speaker Bureau of Peace Scholars. The Foundation will promote education on an academic level, to include peace studies as part of grade school and university curricula.

The Peace Research Foundation will gather, discuss and disseminate peace and conflict resolution information. With these endeavors we hope to contribute to peace in the twenty-first century and assist in being part of building a better world for all.

"The Peace Research Foundation is your Foundation; this platform is your platform. Our objective is a very simple one. The development and expansion of the body of knowledge regarding peace." Anghel Tchividjian

"We may never achieve peace completely, but neither are we free to stop working for it as long as there is conflict." Martin Levin
